How Custodex helps you care
Less manual welfare checking
Scheduled check-ins reduce the need for constant phone calls and visits just to confirm someone is okay.
Escalation when it matters
If a check-in is missed, you are alerted according to the person's plan, with their important information attached.
Multiple caregivers supported
Several contacts can be alerted, with escalation to the next if the first cannot respond.
Shared activity (with consent)
View check-in history only when the person you support chooses to share it.
Location during alerts
See their location during an active alert or shared journey, never without permission.
Respects dignity
Built to complement, not replace, the care and relationships you already provide.
Answers for caregivers
What alerts will I receive as a caregiver?
You will be notified when a person you support misses a check-in past the grace period or triggers SOS. Alerts include their emergency plan, important information, and any location they have consented to share.
Can I support more than one person?
Yes. You can be added as a trusted contact by several people, and each person's plan and preferences are kept separate.
Do I need to install anything?
No. You can receive and respond to alerts by email or SMS. If you use the app, you can also view shared history and active alerts.
Can I see their check-in history?
Only when the person you support chooses to share it with you. Custodex never shares activity without their consent.
Can I temporarily view location?
Location is shared only during an active alert or a journey they choose to share. It is never available without their permission, and they can revoke it instantly.
What should I do after receiving an SOS?
Try to reach the person directly. If you cannot reach them and believe they are in danger, contact local emergency services. Custodex alerts the contacts chosen, it is not a replacement for local emergency services.
