What alerts will I receive?
You will be notified by email and/or SMS when your loved one misses a check-in past the grace period, or when they trigger an SOS. Each alert includes their message, their emergency plan, and any location they have chosen to share.
Do I need the app?
No. You can receive and respond to alerts by email or SMS without installing anything. If you do use Custodex, you can also see shared check-in history and active alerts in one place.
Can several contacts respond?
Yes. Multiple trusted contacts can be added. If the first contact cannot acknowledge the alert, Custodex escalates to the next person on the list.
Can I see check-in history?
The person using Custodex can choose to share their check-in history with you. Activity is visible only with their consent.
Can I temporarily view their location?
Location can be shared during an active alert or a journey they choose to share. It is never shared without their permission, and they can stop sharing at any time.
What should I do after receiving an SOS?
Try to reach them directly first. If you cannot reach them and believe they are in danger, contact your local emergency services. Custodex alerts the contacts you choose, it is not a replacement for local emergency services.
